SEP Download Center SEP sesam main components   First choose the OS of your future SEP sesam Backup Server . This Server Software is a full package also containing the client (server to be backed up) and gui (Graphical User Interface) of the same OS.
 If you have different OS in your it environment, download the needed SEP sesam Client software package.
 You can also control SEP sesam via differnet OS via the gui. To do this, choose the gui package for your OS and ensure that you have installed the right JRE (Java Runtime Environment) on your system before you install the gui. You can find the right JRE for system in the folder utils. Do not forget to have a look at the readme.txt!
 The SEP sesam RDS (Remote Device Server) is any storage device (Disk or Tape) which is installed physically separated from the backup server and accessed by the data backup server remotely. The remote device server allows the backup of the corresponding local client data and data of further clients. All information about backed up data on the remote device are filed and managed at the data backup server. By using SEP sesam Remote Device Server function decentralized data backup can be realized with central administration even via WAN. SEP sesam Remote Device Server and SEP sesam Server may have different operating system platforms. Remote Device Function requires a SEP sesam Client to be installed and licensed at the data backup server.
